That night, while trying to dress up as Santa Claus for his children, he accidentally falls off the roof and loses consciousness.

In 2011, Jorge awakens again on Christmas Eve but has no recollection of the past year. He discovers that he has received a new car and a promotion at work but also grapples with personal issues such as a secret smoking addiction. As the years progress—each time waking up on Christmas Eve—Jorge experiences similar events but with different circumstances. He tries to escape the family gatherings by taking sleeping pills but is eventually stopped by his wife Laura.

By 2022, Jorge realizes he has divorced Laura and moved in with Márcia, his secretary. After confronting harsh truths about his life choices—including health issues stemming from smoking and an ongoing affair—he attempts suicide but is saved by revelations about his family’s struggles.

In subsequent years, Jorge learns more devastating news: his daughter develops terminal breast cancer and ultimately passes away. This leads him to reflect deeply on his life choices. In 2023, after making a wish during a birthday celebration with Laura, he wakes up back in 2010 with a renewed determination to make better decisions for himself and his family.
