Wonder Woman

In Wonder Woman, the story follows Diana Prince, an Amazonian princess raised on the hidden island of Themyscira. She is trained as a warrior by her aunt Antiope and learns about her heritage as the daughter of Zeus. When American pilot Steve Trevor crash-lands on their island in 1918, he informs Diana about World War I raging outside. Believing that the war is instigated by Ares, the god of war, she decides to leave Themyscira with Steve to stop him.

Upon arriving in London, they deliver intelligence about a deadly gas being developed by the Germans. Diana joins Steve and his team of allies—Sameer, Charlie, and Chief Napi—to prevent the gas from being released at the Western Front. Demonstrating her strength and combat skills, Diana fights through enemy lines and liberates a village.

As they infiltrate a German gala to stop General Ludendorff, whom Diana believes to be Ares, she kills him but soon realizes that his death does not end the war. Sir Patrick Morgan reveals himself as Ares and explains that humanity’s violence is inherent. In a climactic battle, Diana discovers her true power as the “god-killer” and ultimately defeats Ares after sacrificing Steve to save others from a bomb he pilots into the sky.

The film concludes with Diana continuing her fight for justice in the present day while reflecting on her past experiences during World War I.
