In Deadpool & Wolverine, the story begins with Wade Wilson, also known as Deadpool, who has retired from his mercenary life and is now a used car salesman. His quiet existence is disrupted when he is captured by the Time Variance Authority (TVA) and learns that his original timeline, Earth-10005, is deteriorating due to the death of its stabilizing “anchor being,” Logan/Wolverine.
To save his universe, Deadpool steals a device called the “TemPad” from Mr. Paradox, a TVA agent, and embarks on a quest across the multiverse to find a variant of Wolverine. After encountering various versions of Logan, he ultimately brings back a reluctant and flawed Wolverine variant to help him confront the real threat: Cassandra Nova, Charles Xavier’s twin sister, who seeks to destroy all timelines using a device called the “Time Ripper.”
As they navigate through challenges in the Void—a limbo-like space ruled by Cassandra—they meet other characters and form an alliance to fight against her. The duo faces numerous comedic and action-packed moments while dealing with their contrasting personalities. Ultimately, they confront Cassandra and thwart her plans by sacrificing themselves together to destroy the Time Ripper.
In the end, Deadpool’s actions stabilize his timeline, allowing him to reunite with friends while Wolverine finds redemption for his past failures. The film concludes with hints that Deadpool may still cross over into the Marvel Cinematic Universe in future films.
