Brief Movie Story: The movie “Hovering Blade” follows the story of a widower named Nagamine Shigeki, an architect whose only daughter is tragically found dead. After receiving an anonymous phone call revealing the names and address of the perpetrators, Nagamine discovers a snuff video showing two young men raping and killing his daughter. Fueled by grief and anger, he takes matters into his own hands and seeks revenge. Nagamine waits for one of the murderers to return home and kills him. He then sets out on a journey to find the other youth involved in the crime, all while challenging Japanese laws that fail to adequately punish underage criminals. Along the way, he encounters various individuals who question his quest for vengeance, including police officers investigating his case and a father-daughter duo who offer him refuge.
