Plot Summary: In Avengers: Endgame, the surviving members of the Avengers and their allies come together to reverse Thanos’s actions from Avengers: Infinity War. After locating Thanos and discovering that he has destroyed the Infinity Stones, Thor kills Thanos in a fit of rage. Five years later, Scott Lang proposes using the Quantum Realm for time travel to retrieve the Stones from the past. Tony Stark, Rocket, and Bruce Banner create a time machine, understanding that changes in the past create alternate realities. The team embarks on a mission to collect the Stones from different points in time to undo Thanos’s devastating snap.
The Avengers face challenges and emotional moments as they navigate through various timelines, encountering their past selves and revisiting key events from previous films. Ultimately, they manage to gather all the Infinity Stones but face a final showdown with Thanos from 2014 who learns of their plan and tries to stop them. In an epic battle, Iron Man sacrifices himself by wielding the Stones to defeat Thanos once and for all, restoring those who were lost in the snap.
The film concludes with Tony Stark’s funeral, where his friends and allies pay tribute to his sacrifice. The remaining Avengers go their separate ways, with Captain America choosing to live out his life in the past with Peggy Carter. The mantle of Captain America is passed on to Sam Wilson (Falcon), while Thor appoints Valkyrie as the new ruler of Asgard.
