Plot Summary: “PK” is a 2014 Indian Hindi-language science fiction comedy-drama film directed by Rajkumar Hirani. The story follows an alien named PK, played by Aamir Khan, who lands on Earth in Rajasthan for a research mission. Shortly after his arrival, he loses the remote control to his spaceship, which is stolen by a thief. Stranded on Earth and unfamiliar with human customs, PK navigates through various cultures and religions while trying to find his remote.

As he attempts to communicate with people, he innocently questions the rituals and beliefs surrounding God and religion. His childlike curiosity leads him to explore different faiths, including Hinduism, Islam, and Christianity. He learns that many religious leaders exploit people’s faith for personal gain.

In parallel, Jagat “Jaggu” Janani Sahni (Anushka Sharma), a journalist who has returned to India after a failed relationship with a Pakistani man due to religious differences, encounters PK while he is distributing pamphlets about a “missing” God. Intrigued by his perspective and determined to help him recover his remote, she becomes his ally.

Together, they expose fraudulent godmen like Tapasvi Maharaj (Saurabh Shukla), who possesses PK’s remote and falsely claims it as a divine gift. Their campaign against these religious charlatans gains traction as they encourage people to share their experiences of being misled by such figures.

The climax occurs when PK confronts Tapasvi on live television, revealing the truth behind his predictions and the manipulation of faith for profit. Ultimately, Jaggu reconnects with her former love Sarfaraz (Sushant Singh Rajput), while PK retrieves his remote control and prepares to return home. Before leaving, he records tapes of Jaggu’s voice as a memento of their friendship.

The film concludes with PK returning to Earth on another mission with fellow aliens after having learned valuable lessons about humanity.
