Overview “Escape from Uganda” is a 2013 Malayalam thriller film directed by Rajesh Mohanan. The film features a cast that includes Rima Kallingal, Vijay Babu, R. Plot Summary The story revolves around Shikha Samuel and her husband Jayakrishnan, who relocate to Uganda seeking refuge after facing opposition from their families in Kerala regarding their marriage. They lead a seemingly peaceful life with their daughter Meenakshi; Jayakrishnan works as a manager in a coffee shop while Shikha runs her own designer boutique.
However, their tranquility is disrupted when Shikha is arrested on charges of committing two murders, one of which involves the daughter of the local mayor. The mayor vows to keep her imprisoned for life. In an effort to help his wife, Jayakrishnan meets Antony through his employer Gautham. Antony provides advice and resources for Shikha’s escape from jail.
Upon her release, Jayakrishnan and Shikha discover that Antony is actually Carlose Kennedy, a local crime lord responsible for the murders and now intent on ensnaring them further into his criminal activities. Jayakrishnan informs the local police about Carlos’s malicious intentions, leading to Carlos’s arrest.
In a climactic turn of events, Jayakrishnan and Shikha manage to escape from Uganda via helicopter just before Carlos’s henchmen can capture them.
