The Wrong Missy

 

Plot Summary
The Wrong Missy is a romantic comedy that follows Tim Morris (David Spade), a businessman who has a disastrous blind date with an eccentric woman named Melissa, nicknamed Missy (Lauren Lapkus). After their chaotic encounter, Tim meets another Melissa (Molly Sims) at the airport, who seems perfect for him. Mistakenly believing he has been texting this second Melissa, Tim invites her to his company’s retreat in Hawaii.

However, to his horror, the wrong Melissa—Missy—shows up on the plane instead. What ensues is a series of embarrassing and outrageous situations as Missy’s wild antics create chaos at the retreat. Despite her bizarre behavior, Tim begins to see a different side of Missy and starts to develop feelings for her.

As the story unfolds, workplace rivalries and misunderstandings arise when Jess (Jackie Sandler), Tim’s competitive colleague, reveals that Missy’s invitation was an accident. Heartbroken, Missy leaves Hawaii just as the actual Melissa arrives. Ultimately, Tim realizes his true feelings for Missy and rushes to apologize and win her back.

In the end, after overcoming various comedic hurdles and personal revelations about acceptance and love, Tim and Missy reconcile and share a kiss.
