Shazam! Fury of the Gods

 

In Shazam! Fury of the Gods, two years after defeating Thaddeus Sivana, Billy Batson (Shazam) and his foster siblings, collectively known as the “Shazamily,” face a new threat from the Daughters of Atlas—Hespera and Kalypso. They steal the Wizard’s broken staff to regain their powers and seek revenge on Billy for taking the powers of the gods.

As Billy struggles with his identity and fears being kicked out of his foster home when he turns eighteen, Freddy Freeman develops a crush on a new girl named Anne, who is revealed to be Anthea, another daughter of Atlas. The Daughters capture Freddy and create an indestructible dome around Philadelphia, trapping its inhabitants.

The Shazamily attempts to negotiate for Freddy’s release but are met with hostility. After several confrontations, including battles that lead to the loss of their powers, they learn that Kalypso plans to use a Golden Apple to unleash chaos on Earth by planting a Tree of Life.

In a climactic battle at Lincoln Financial Field, Billy sacrifices himself to defeat Kalypso and her dragon Ladon by overloading the staff with electricity. His family mourns him but is later visited by Wonder Woman, who revives him using her godly powers. The film concludes with the Shazamily restoring their home and welcoming Anthea into their family.
