Plot Summary: In “Jumanji: The Next Level,” the story picks up two years after the events of “Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle.” The main characters—Spencer, Fridge, Martha, and Bethany—are now in college and plan to reunite over Christmas break. However, Spencer feels discontented with his life and decides to re-enter the Jumanji game to regain the confidence he had as his avatar, Dr. Smolder Bravestone.
When Spencer’s friends discover he is missing, they realize he has gone back into the game and decide to rescue him. Unfortunately, Spencer’s grandfather Eddie and his estranged friend Milo are also pulled into the game. As they navigate this new adventure, each character finds themselves in different avatars than before: Eddie becomes Dr. Bravestone, Milo takes on the role of Franklin “Mouse” Finbar, while Fridge ends up as Professor Sheldon Oberon. Martha remains Ruby Roundhouse.
The group learns that Jumanji is suffering from a drought caused by a warlord named Jurgen the Brutal who has stolen a magical jewel called the Falcon Jewel. To escape the game and save Jumanji, they must retrieve this jewel while facing various challenges including dangerous animals and treacherous landscapes.
As they work together to overcome obstacles and rescue their friends, they also learn valuable lessons about friendship, teamwork, and reconciliation. In a climactic moment, they successfully retrieve the jewel and complete their mission. The film concludes with hints of further adventures as creatures from Jumanji spill into the real world.
