The Exorcism

 

The Bride is a supernatural entity and the secondary antagonist in the 2019 horror film “Annabelle Comes Home.” She is a violent ghostly spirit that possesses a wedding dress and manipulates brides into killing their grooms. The Bride was first investigated by demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren after a series of mysterious deaths involving grooms at weddings. According to their case file, the Bride is a vengeful spirit that possesses human bodies through the wedding dress, using them to commit murder. After each killing, the dress would miraculously return to its pristine white condition for the next victim. Seven grooms lost their lives before the Warrens intervened, obtaining custody of the dress, blessing it, and keeping it locked away in their occult museum.

In “Annabelle Comes Home,” many years later, the Warren’s daughter Judy is being babysat at home when Daniela Rios sneaks into the occult museum and unwittingly releases the demon Annabelle. With Annabelle now free, it draws energy from other spirits to aid it. The Bride is among these spirits and attacks Judy when she encounters her in the house.
