Plot Summary
In “When Evil Lurks,” two brothers, Pedro and Jaime, discover a gruesomely eviscerated body in the woods near their rural home in Argentina. This leads them to an elderly woman, María Elena, and her two sons, Uriel and Eduardo, who are hiding from a demonic presence. Uriel has become a “Rotten,” a being possessed by an unborn demon. The corpse they found belonged to a “Cleaner,” someone tasked with eliminating Uriel before the demon could spread its influence.
The local authorities dismiss the situation as not their concern, prompting landowner Ruiz to suggest disposing of Uriel’s body far away. However, during their journey, they accidentally lose Uriel.
