Overview
“Tiger Zinda Hai” is a 2017 Indian Hindi-language action thriller film that serves as a sequel to “Ek Tha Tiger.” The film follows the story of Avinash Singh “Tiger” Rathore, played by Salman Khan, and his wife Zoya Nazar, portrayed by Katrina Kaif. Set eight years after the events of the first film, they are pulled out of hiding to rescue nurses held hostage by a terrorist organization in Iraq.

Plot Summary
The story begins in 2017 when an American journalist is killed by the ISC (a terrorist organization) while trying to report their activities to the CIA. During a rally in Tikrit, the leader of ISC, Abu Usman, is shot and taken to a local hospital where Indian and Pakistani nurses are being held hostage. Maria, one of the nurses, secretly informs the Indian Ambassador about their situation. The CIA gives RAW chief Shenoy only seven days to rescue the hostages before an airstrike is ordered on the hospital.

Tiger and Zoya, now living in secrecy with their son Junior in Innsbruck, Austria, are contacted by Shenoy. Initially reluctant to return to action due to their past experiences, Tiger agrees after Zoya insists he should help save the nurses. He assembles a team of RAW agents including Azaan (a sniper), Namit (a bomb disposal expert), and Rakesh (a hacker) and travels to Iraq posing as illegal migrant workers at an oil refinery run by Tohbaan, who is sympathetic to ISC.

As they infiltrate ISC’s operations, they face numerous challenges including rescuing a child suicide bomber named Hassan. After several encounters with ISC forces and discovering that Tohbaan is actually an undercover RAW agent named Firdaus, Tiger and Zoya decide to coordinate attacks against ISC together.

Zoya goes undercover within ISC and manages to kill Baghdawi, Usman’s second-in-command. Meanwhile, Rakesh poisons food meant for ISC soldiers during preparations for an airstrike. Despite losing one team member during combat with ISC forces, Tiger ultimately confronts Usman while attempting to rescue Zoya.

In a climactic battle inside the hospital where hostages are kept, Tiger fights against overwhelming odds but manages to defeat Usman just before an American airstrike destroys the facility. A year later, Tiger contacts Shenoy from Greece revealing that he has adopted Hassan and continues living in hiding with his family.

“Tiger Zinda Hai” combines elements of action and drama while addressing themes of patriotism and cooperation between India and Pakistan through its lead characters’ efforts to save innocent lives amidst terrorism.
